Daron is a former Lead Underwriter on Wall street who fell in love with the game of volleyball at the age of 25 and began participating in amateur beach tournaments up and down the west coast. This businesswoman turned volleyball enthusiast has decided to take on the venture to promote the sport that she loves. She has passed on her passion to her children, Niko and Presley, whom themselves have become formidable volleyball players.  Before accepting the Head Coaching position at West Torrance High School, Daron was the Head Coach for Manhattan Beach Middle School Boys’ team and an Assistant Coach for Visitation School Boys’ team. Currently coaching a Riviera School in Torrance, Daron is IMPACT Certified with USA Volleyball. To ensure high quality service Daron will be visiting different practices every week to gain feedback from parents & players as well as to answer your concerns, issues, and questions.

JOSE LOIOLA  Jose Loiola

Team WAVE Head Coach 16-1’s Girls & Sand Head Coach
Jose has recorded 55 victories in his career, which is the 3rd most among active players. He won titles for eight straight years, from 1995 through 2002. He has experienced success both on the AVP Tour as well as internationally, winning 35 domestic events plus 20 on the FIVB Tour. Among his wins are the 1997 King of the Beach, 1999 World Championships, 2001 Goodwill Games and twice winning the Manhattan Beach Open (1995 and 2000). He was a 2000 Olympian, finishing ninth with Emanuel Rego. His four AVP Offensive Player of the Year awards are unsurpassed. Loiola was the first player to be selected AVP Rookie of the Year and then MVP. His first title, an indoor tournament in 1995, marked the first time an AVP event was won by a foreign-born players, as he claimed the title with Eduardo Bacil. In 2001 the FIVB chose Loiola and Rego as one of the two Best Beach Volleyball Teams of the ’90s. Additional information.

Marcio Sicoli Marcio Sicoli

Team WAVE Head Coach 14-1’s Girls
An expert in both indoor and sand volleyball, Marcio Sicoli begins his seventh season with the Pepperdine women’s volleyball staff as an assistant coach. He was the assistant coach to the indoor team for six years, and assistant sand coach for three years. Marcio coached Kerri Walsh Jennings and Misty May-Treanor, arguably the best beach volleyball duo of all time, during the 2012 Olympics in London. He is currently coaching Kerri Walsh Jennings and April Ross for the 2016 Olympics. Marcio also served as the assistant indoor coach for the Pepperdine Waves during the inaugural year of collegiate sand volleyball,  and after an undefeated season, Pepperdine captured the AVCA Collegiate Sand Volleyball National Championship in Gulf Shores, Ala.

Sydney Donahue  Sydney Donahue

Team WAVE Assistant Coach 14-1’s Girls
Sydney has a long history with volleyball. She attended Mira Costa High School and received a full scholarship to Arizona State University. At ASU she started for all 4 years as a libero. She left ASU with 2 NCAA records and continues to be the All-Time Dig Leader for the PAC-12. Additional Information.

Skyler McCoy

Team WAVE Roaming Coach Both Indoor & Sand
Skyler is currently playing in the AVP, and recently coached at the USC Sand Volleyball camp, two A3 USA beach volleyball development camps at the Olympic training center in Chula Vista. He has traveled to u19 world championships in 2011, and the u21 world championships 2013. Skyler finished 9th in the 2014 NORCECA Tour stop in Manzanillo. He competed in the FIVB U23 world championship in June 2014, and has past international experience competing in the 2013 FIVB Beach Volleyball U21 World Championship, 2011 FIVB Beach Volleyball U19 world championship.

  Jeffrey Inada

Team WAVE Roaming Coach
Jeff is one of our most beloved coaches here at Team WAVE. Jeff has donated his time as a Summer Beach Camp Coach.  He has coached at Fairfax Senior High School. Jeff has played club volleyball in college and is still currently competing in CBVA tournaments around the area. We look forward to having Jeff on board and coaching our young stars.  Jeff is now coaching at Culver High School. Jeff is also going into his thrid year of coaching for Team WAVE.  In Team WAVE’s 1st season Jeff donated his time to all of our teams. Not only did he assist Jose Loiola he was on call and would on a moments notice, fill in to coach when needed. Jeff coached all ages and levels at Team WAVE and we have very lucky to have him as a roaming coach.

  Antonio Boucher

Team WAVE Roaming & Beach Coach
Antonio is coaches for the Los Angeles Trade Technical College men’s indoor team, and East Los Angeles College women’s indoor team. He will be starting March 26th, 2015 as head coach for the 15’s team. Antonio started coaching in 2011 with Warren High School (in Downey) where they lost in the finals of Div 3 CIF along with a 14’s boys team at Highline volleyball Club. At East LA college Antonio helped turn around a notoriously poor volleyball program into a legitimate conference contender and hopes to soon be a state title contender with additional recruiting. We would also like to congratulate Antonio and his wife on the birth of their son last November, 2014. This was the perfect opportunity to for Antonio to join Team Wave!

Jordon Dyer  Jordon Dyer

Team WAVE Roaming & Beach Coach
Jordon has both played for USA Beach Volleyball and recently coached a USA Beach Volleyball development camp in Chula Vista. He also played in the U19 FIVB beach world championships. His experience is also reflected by a AAA CBVA rating in 2012 and 1st team All-Conference for California Community College in 2012.

Team WAVE Roaming & Beach Coach
For Loren Osborn, volleyball runs in the family. As the son of a 70’s professional beach player he begin leading drills in club volleyball beginning at the age of 12, and playing full time for the Colorado School of Mines leading the team to its first top ten finish in the collegiate nationals followed by gold in the US adult national.
While assisting with coaching duties early on, he began coaching as a profession with the Denver West High School, leading a freshman team to a nearly undefeated season in 2010. As well as coaching for club volleyball in Denver, Loren also has personal experience with the responsibilities of playing volleyball while being a student as well.
More recently, Loren has been working on his beach experience winning 10 AAA finishes and a three time top ten fininsher in the Colorado “mother lode” tournament playing against Sean Rosenthal and Casey Patterson.
